Having had numerous alterations & extensions done to it in the past; the Quarry Centre in Hilton is up for a complete new look. The brief from the developers was to create a lighter, brighter, more interesting façade that would provide a visual connection with people as they approach the centre from the car park. The current streetscape is dull & visual access to the shops beyond the walkway is restrictive. What we are aiming to achieve is to open up the centre, creating new life & interest through revisiting the walkway roof, creating striking entrance features, replacing existing shop fronts with more extensive clear opening shop fronts, adding some colour to the centre & introducing more indigenous landscaping interlinked with functional accessible piazza style walkways which will all assist in making the centre a more vibrant, lively & functional centre.
